"Unlike many of the other travellers have stated in the reviews, I had a remarkable experience at La Place today. After exhausting every other option available in order to meet my vegan/allergy requirements, a really kind team member named Harjo (apologies if I spelled it incorrectly), was not only helpful, but allowed me to read ingredients on things to ensure I was safe and satisfied. She accommodated me, when I kid you not, 4 other restaurants in the immediate vicinity were unwilling and unable to help me based on my allergy and dietary restrictions. Those 4 other places all said "Go to subway" or "Try subway". Harjo and the other nice folks at La Place didn't send me away. They answered my questions and looked up ingredients for me. They went above and beyond. The food hit the spot, and was hot and fresh. Even as I waited in line, out of the way as they prepared my food, another young man who worked there, heading on his break, took the time to stop and ask if I needed support. Good folks. I can understand there are likely many weary travellers and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I wonder if these negative reviews are because the customer is the negative party in the interaction? Being polite goes a long way and being rewarded with kindness and understanding is usually the outcome. Thanks for a wonderful experience. Harjo and the team was awesome. 10/10 will choose to eat here every time I'm in Pearson Airport."

"They built my own panini with pesto, smoked salmon, and arugula. Freshly toasted, it was delicious! The African lady that served me was very kind, and served me the sandwich with a smile. The healthiest option around."
